When you scan a magazine image, newspaper, fabrics or any other printed image , moire patterns are often unintentionally created.
Always look out for these patterns when you scan. At UTS, the scanners automatically reduce the Moire.
If you scan at home you may have a Descreen button which will reduce the risk of this pattern appearing.
Note: Do NOT use the Descreen filter when scanning real photographs
